The CityLink Tulla Widening project upgraded a 8km section of the Tullamarine Freeway between Bulla Road and Melbourne Airport.

An extra lane was added in each direction, and the Mickleham Road Interchange was upgraded. New builds included a new separated road and early exits to the M80 Ring Road, English Street and Matthews Avenue, and a new inbound bus bridge from the airport. The English Street Bridge was rebuilt and new ramp signals installed to control the traffic entering the freeway.
